M I L L S F O R M W O R K : C O M P L E T E H O R I Z O N T A L F O R M W O R K S Y S T E M NT 009 - MILLS FORMWORK TECHNICAL INFORMATION 3 T he horizontal formwork has changed over the last few years to secure the installation of the plywood.The spacing between the conventional wood beams has been reduced progressively to prevent falling from a height through the formwork. By increasing their number as such, the beams have become over- sized with respect to the loads to take up. Mills then decided to create the new MP3 formwork system which provided both a high level of safety with spacing between beams limited to 10 cm and substantial lightness with the reduction in inertia, in accordance with the loads to be supported. Protection for the edges has also changed. Conventional guardrails formed from rails, middle rails and toeboards are progressively replaced with higher wire netting barriers.They are now interconnected with the formwork by "universal post supports" suited for new- generation beams. To conclude, our range of Mills Pano shuttering boards used for the formwork of structures was supplemented with MWP (Mills Working Platform), designed to create work surfaces at the edge of buildings under construction.
